The Cake.The Party was a great success, we only invited 4 little girls (as Lily was 4) so it made everything totally 'do-able'. I also made hair clips for favours (see below) and sewed little party bags with their initials appliqued on the front. We played 'Hunt the King's Treasure' in the sandpit where the girls dug for necklaces and bubble mixture, which were also popped in to the bags at the end. The party game presents were all fairy tale books illustrated by Jane Ray whose artwork is just beautiful. I can not take credit for a) the cardboard castle or b) the birthday cake, although I would dearly like to.
